On November 1, 2025, the AVITECH research group organized a Seminar to introduce group members, provide research updates, and strengthen internal collaboration within the group.
The seminar was honored to welcome the group’s international advisor, Prof. Dr. Guy Nagels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium), along with two long-term collaborators: Dr. Tran Quoc Long (Director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, VNU University of Engineering and Technology) and Dr. Tran Thi Thuy Quynh (Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, VNU University of Engineering and Technology).
In addition to the invited guests, the seminar saw the full participation of AVITECH members. Those based in Vietnam attended the event in person, while members abroad joined online.

Below is a summary of the key highlights from the seminar.
To begin the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Linh Trung (Co-leader of the research group) provided an overview of AVITECH’s formation, its development orientation, and its mission to build a strong interdisciplinary research community. He emphasized the importance of the seminar in helping new members integrate and connect more effectively with the group.

Following the opening session, the program continued with two presentation sessions featuring undergraduate students, master’s students, PhD candidates, and researchers of the group.
Session 1, moderated by MSc. Le Quoc Anh (Secretary of the research group), consisted of short self-introduction and research-orientation presentations by junior members of AVITECH, including second-, third-, and fourth-year undergraduates as well as master’s students. Their topics spanned a wide range of fields such as AI for clinical neuroscience, federated learning, security, tensor networks, EEG spectral analysis, biomedical imaging, and next-generation communication technologies.
After Session 1, the group took a collective photo and had a short break before moving on to the technical presentations.

Session 2, chaired by Dr. Le Trung Thanh (Co-leader of the research group), focused on technical research presentations delivered by PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. Notably, three 15-minute technical talks representing AVITECH’s three key research pillars attracted particular interest:
These presentations received many insightful questions and comments from the invited experts, creating an engaging and intellectually stimulating atmosphere.
At the end of the program, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Linh Trung thanked all participants and guests, expressing his hope that AVITECH will continue to maintain strong academic engagement and collaboration in the future.
