- 2/2025 – 8/2025: Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), Purdue University, USA.
- 8/2022 – 1/2025: Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), University of California, Irvine (UCI), USA.
- 2022: Received his Ph.D. degree in Computational Science, jointly awarded by the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and San Diego State University (SDSU), USA.
- 2020: Received the Best Paper Award at the prestigious IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC).
- 2016: Received his M.Sc. degree in Wireless Communications Systems from CentraleSupélec, Paris-Saclay University, France.
- 2014: Received his B.Eng. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU).
Core Research Interests
At the University of Kansas, Dr. Ly’s research will continue to focus on the core areas of wireless communications, signal processing, and machine learning. Specifically, his focused topics include:
- Next-generation (6G-and-beyond) wireless communications systems.
- Machine learning and statistical learning for wireless communications systems.
- MIMO, massive MIMO, and cell-free massive MIMO.
- Integrated sensing and communications.
- Millimeter wave, Terahertz, and non-terrestrial communications.
